Australia: ancient land, modern heritage

Perhaps these are the four words that describe Australia the best. This land is the oldest on the Globe and the first human communities were established here (see: Aboriginals). This is the country that only with 200 years history governs a whole continent. The modern society that was built on the timeless territory can rely on its citizens even thought every fourth of them are immigrants.

you think of Australia maybe first you recall the image of koalas, kangaroos, Ayers Rock (with its ancient name Uluru), the great red stone, the British penal colony, or the Sydney Opera house but most probably there would be nothing else that you could tell about this young and huge country.

The land of possibilities – that is how the answer to what Australia is today can be summarized the best. The anticipated population will reach about 35 million from the recent 22 million over the 2014 to 2050 period thanks to the immigration.Since the territory of Australia is 32 times bigger than Great Brittan and 83 times bigger than Hungary the untapped land for the newcomers is enormous.
The capacity to grow population basically depends on the vast free territories of the country. The density of population is 3 pp /km2 – in the United States it is 32 pp /km2, in Hungary it is 108 pp /km2. Considering this fact Australia has one of the best positions among the developed countries.

Australia is so attractive not only because of the high capacity to grow its population but also for students to its international education. Unlike many other countries it helps them to find opportunity to work part time. Well known fact that Australia sees them through studies with much better price and still high level education in its universities, high-schools, and secondary schools than they would get in the British or American schools.

Australia got separated from the main continent very early in Archaeological point of view and thanks to that fact it has lots of special geographical and ecological characteristics that you cannot find anywhere else in the world. The Government of Australia makes great effort in order to save the unique biology so it can be handed over to the next generation.

The continent gives a huge variety of climate also. From the desert through the subtropical we can find all here.It is important to keep in mind that since the country is over the Equalizer the seasons are just the opposites as in Europe: when we have winter, in Australia it is summer. Of course as Australia is on the other side of the world considering Hungary even the time zone is totally different. So the Australians are 10 hours ahead of us.In New South Wales where the density of the population is the highest in the country the average temperature is 22° Celsius in the summer.Nevertheless do not get deceived by this number, the Australian summer is long and hot giving a good opportunities to those who like this season. Contrary to the summer the winters are relatively mild, rainy and the temperature rarely falls below zero Celsius in the big cities.

In point of Government and Political structures Australia is very much different from the average European country. In this sense we can rather compare Australia to the United States of America. Australia is a federation that means that it is a union of several autonomous states and territories.

The order of these states by population is New South Wales (New South Wales), Victoria, Queensland, Western Australia (Western Australia), South Australia (South Australia) and Tasmania. The two areas or territories are the Australian Capital Territory (Australian Capital Territory) and the Northern Territory (Northern Territory).

Although the nation's capital is Canberra, political and administrative center (which is located in the Australian Capital Territory) but it is a well-known fact that Sydney - in New South Wales - is the heart and the engine of Australia.Sydney is not only the largest city in Australia considering its population and territory but also the economic, commercial and immigration center of the country.
Among the great towns of the continent Melbourne, located in Victoria, is probably the second most well-known one. It is not an accident: Melbourne is considered to be the cultural capital of Australia.
The centre of Western Australia situated in the other side of the country is none other than Australia's fastest growing city, the industrious Perth.
It is worth mentioning Queensland in Brisbane as well that attracts lot of tourists every year but only few people know that the purpose of the travelers is not actually to see Brisbane, but rather to visit the Great Barrier Reef (Great Barrier Reef), the Gold Coast and its neighbors since Brisbane does not even have direct connection to the sea.

We find it important to mention Australian politics as well in the closing part of the introduction.
Australia as a member of the Commonwealth has a multi-party democratic system. Elections are held in every three years. There is a two-chamber parliamentary system made up of the legislature. The Australian democratic traditions are deeply rooted in the public mind, perhaps the most obvious example of this is that this was the second country in the world where women got right to vote. As a good example see Julia Gillard who was Australia's first female Prime Minister between 2010 and 2013.
We, the employees of CSE Australia sincerely hope that with this summary we managed to paint an interesting and informative picture about this truly great country.
