AUSTRALIAN E-VISITOR VISA

In this section, you can read about the Australian eVisitor visa and its conditions.

In 2008, the Australian Department of Immigration introduced the eVisitor system to streamline the visa application process for citizens of selected European countries.

The Austrlian eVisitor visa offers two major advantages over other tourist visa types: it is free to apply for, and its assesment process is significantly faster; you often receive the grant notification in 24 hours if all criteria are met.

The eVisitor visa is ideal for those wishing to spend their holidays in Australia or visit friends and relatives who live there. While it does not give you a work permit under any circumstances, you are allowed to study for up to three months without having to apply for a Student Visa.

The Australian eVisitor visa is valid for 12 months. Multiple entries are permitted but each stay is limited to a maximum of three consecutive months.

Requirements:

  • You must possess a valid passport from an eligible country.
  • This visa must be applied for from outside Australia.
  • Applicants must be in good health. The main reason for application denial is a diagnosis of tuberculosis (TB).
  • If requested, you might need to provide proof that you are employed at the time of the application, or have sufficient reason to return home.
  • Applicants may have to demonstrate sufficient financial means, which can be proven through documents such as Bank statements or Employer income certifications.
  • Valid health or travel insurance is not legally required, but may still be requested by the Australian government. It is recommended to obtain a policy to avoid having to cover all medical expenses yourself if necessary.

The administration fee of CSE Australia:

  • Standard fee: 120 AUD
  • Fee for applicants with previously refused visas: 160 AUD
