  • How much does a Student visa cost?

    The main applicant’s Student visa cost is currently 550 AUD, which is to be paid to the Australian Embassy in charge. In case there are more applicants included in the visa, the costs will be as follows: a partner's or spouse's additional visa fee is 410 AUD, and the charge for the included dependent children under the age of 18 is 135 AUD per child. These costs are added to the main applicant’s visa fee.

  • Do I have to give proof of my financial background if I would like to study in Australia?

    Not necessarily, however, sometimes the case officer can request financial statements from Student visa applicants. In this case you will have to prove to the Australian government that you have a proper financial background to be able to subsist during your studies even if you do not take up a job.   • What kind of possibilities do I have when my financial assets are limited?

    In case you do not have enough money on your account, you will need to have a sponsor who is closely linked to you either as a family member or a relative. As there is an Australian notary working in our team, the declaration of sponsorship can be countersigned by us free of charge, just like all the other documents necessary for the visa application.

    If you would like to study in Australia, at the time of the visa application you don't have to demonstrate your financial background. However, sometimes the case officer can request financial statements from Student visa applicants. In that case you will have to prove to the Australian government that you have a sufficient financial background to be able to subsist during your studies even if you do not take up a job.   • How much money do I have to own if I apply for a Student visa longer than 1 year?

    Usually the applicants have to prove enough financial background for 12 months, but the case officer might tell otherwise.

  • How much does the plane ticket cost?

    The prices of the tickets depend on the time of departure, on the airline and on how much time is left until the flight. It is also differs, whether you buy a one-way or a return ticket. In general, it can be stated that you can purchase a ticket between 1100–2100 AUD depending on the factors mentioned above. It is worth checking offers from more airlines and travel agencies.

  • Do I have to pay for the plane ticket in advance?

    To hand in a visa application it is enough to attach the plane ticket booking / itinerary provided by the travel agency, so we do not recommend to buy your ticket in advance. The travel agency will also give you information about the deadline of issuing your ticket, this is when you will have to pay for it. In case you need it, we are happy to take this part of the administration off your shoulders as well, also free of charge.

  • Do I have to take out an insurance?

    One of the conditions of a Student visa is to have a valid international student insurance at one of the appointed Australian insurance companies for the whole period of your stay. You can arrange your insurance in our office, the administration is free of charge.

  • How much does the insurance cost?

    The monthly fees of the international student insurance are different at every company. We are going to offer you the most favourable option when arranging your compulsory student insurance, informing you about the possible options well in advance, of course. There is a possibility to have family insurance as well, which means that the spouse and dependent children of the main applicant are insured as well. Arranging your insurance is part of the service we provide free of charge when applying for your Student visa.

  • Why aren’t the prices given in HUF?

    We give the prices in AUD so that it should be absolutely clear how much things cost, as the exchange rate is continuously changing, which can be of disadvantage for you.

  • How much are the schooling costs of children in Australia?

    You are obliged to enrol your dependent children between the ages of 5-18 in a school. The tuition fees of state schools vary by state and territory, but it is usually between 4500 and 10 000 AUD per year.

  • How much does the compulsory medical examination cost?

    Since the 20th of November 2015 there has been no obligatory medical examination for Hungarian citizens when applying for an Australian visa.

  • Which city offers the cheapest language and professional training courses?

    You can find the most favourable prices in Sydney. It is because the highest number of language and professional training courses are in Sydney, so there is a high competition between the schools. The low prices should not deceive anyone, the quality of education is one of the highest standards in the world.

  • How can I prove to the Australian Department of Home Affairs that I possess the required financial coverage, if I would like to study in Australia?

    The easiest way to prove your financial background is with your own bank account. The required amount depends on the number of applicants (one person, a couple or a family), the length of the visa and even the type of the chosen course.
    The required amount can be in any currency, the official of the Australian government will convert the sum on the account into Australian dollars at the current exchange rate at the time of the evaluation of the visa.
